Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the nozzle cooling by sealed gas and to make small the torch, by providing the porous metal in the sealed gas path of plasma torch.
CONSTITUTION: In the plasma torch consisting of the electrode 16 and the nozzle 17 having the sealed gas path 20, the porous metal 21 (calcining the sintered small ball made of brass to the core member 17a) is fixed, the nozzle 17 is cooled with the sealed gas and processed object 22 is protected from air. Thus, without requiring complicated construction as conventional water cooling type, the plasma torch can be made small in size.
