Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a beautiful polished skin under a neutral condition by electrolytically polishing by a neutral electrolytic liquid prepared by adding a specific amount of sodium nitrate or sodium sulphate and, moreover, sodium chloride or a neutral salt of potassium to an aqueous solution containing a specific amount of glycerine.
CONSTITUTION: To a 30W85% (especially, 50W75%) aqueous glycerine solution, one or two or more of a nitrate or a sulphate of sodium, potassium or ammonium is added in a range of 10W100g/l. Moreover, one or two or more of sodium chloride or potassium chloride is added in an amount of 5g/l or more (especially, 10g/l or more) and below an adding amount of above described sodium sulphate. If an austenite type stainless steel containing nickel and a nickel base alloy is electrolytically polished by this neutral aqueous solution as an electrolytic solution, a beautiful polished skin can be obtained.
