CONSTITUTION:The thermal recording device comprises a power source 101 for the thermal head, the thermal head 102, a character generator 103, a thermal-head driver 104, etc. An operating circuit consisting of operational amplifiers 209, 212, 213, etc. connected with the thermal-head heating unit 204 is provided in the device as the detecting means for detecting the energy supplied to the thermal-head heating unit 204. The voltage of the power supplied to the thermal-head heating unit 204 is regulated in accordance with the output signal of the detecting means, or the pulse width of the power supplied to the heating unit 204 is regulated by a photoelectric transducer 203, so as to control the supplied power.
