Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce an operational load in a preparation stage wherein a long element to be coated is attached to an extrusion molding machine and a pull driving apparatus, by employing a plurality of traction blocks. CONSTITUTION:One end of an auxiliary rope 1 is connected with an end of the long element 2 such as a cable core and the other end of the long element is passed through a crosshead of the extrusion molding machine 3. Then the leading end 8 of the auxiliary rope 1 is connected with a series of traction blocks 12 each having an annular ring 12B and a hook 12C for mutual connection thereof, and an leading end of the block 12 is engaged with a pull driving apparatus 6 to complete the preparation stage. After extrusion coating on the long element 2 has begun, the blocks 12 are removed one after another each time when the block 12 passes through the pull driving machine 6.
