Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure a high-accuracy reading of the bar code information although the space between the unit bar codes may have some variance, by carrying out the data process by regarding the space as W in case the space between the unit bar codes is larger than the specified space W.
CONSTITUTION: With an image pickup scanning given to the bar code label 1 through the scanner 4, the binary coded bar code data is delivered from the scanner 4. This data is then supplied to the data width deciding circuit 5, and the pulse duration deciding circuits 50-1W50-N deliver the pulses of the number corresponding to the pulse duration of each data. On the other hand, the pulse duration corresponding to the space between the unit bar codes should be printed originally in the W bit width. However, the pulse synchronized with the W bit is delivered from the pulse deciding circuit 50-W even with a width larger than the W bit. The outputs of the circuits 50-1W50-W are compounded 51 and then supplied to the shift register 6. Then the bar code data equivalent to one scan and stored in the register 6 is supplied to the information processing circuit 7 to be delivered after conversion into the display code, the print code and the like.
