Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent assuredly the accident such as a fire or the like, by securing a safe control of the control circuit in case a disconnection occurs to the thermistor or its connecting circuit.
CONSTITUTION: With no disconnection of the thermistor 2, the electromagnetic clutch 24 works when the resistance value of the thermistor 2 becomes higher than a fixed level and then stops when the resistance value becomes lower than the fixed level. And with disconnection of the thermistor 2, no base current of the transistor (TR)28 flows to break the conduction of the TR28. Thus the base current of the TR29 flows through the resistance 27 to make the TR29 conduct. As a result, the base potential of the TR19 becomes lower than the emitter potential to break the conduction of the TR19. Accordingly, the conduction of the TR20 and 21 are interrupted to open the relay contact 23, and then the clutch 24 discontinues its working. In such way, the danger can be prevented even in case the detection of temperature becomes impossible due to the disconnection of the termistor and with installation of the thermistor disconnection detecting circuit.
