Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization and high precision and also to make integrated circuit possible with regard to a variable attenuator that uses capacitors, by making it possible to change over capacitors at the input and output sides. CONSTITUTION:Input signal Vin is applied to the inverted input terminal of operational amplifier OPA by way of switch SW2, capacitor Ci and switch SW3, and output signal Vout is fed back to the inverted input terminal of amplifier OPA by way of switch SW1, capacitor Cf and switch SW4. A control signal turns on either of switches SW3 and SW4 and a clock signal connects SW2 to the earth side by switching with SW1 on. Switches SW3 and SW4 are brought under control to obtain desired attenuation.
