Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the change in image density at the continuous copying by applying predetermined quantity of bias light to image exposure light according to the pause period of a photoreceptor and changing the same according to the number of copies.
CONSTITUTION: When the drum rotation signal enters the terminal T1 of a bias light source lighting voltage control timer circuit, charging of a capacitor C1 is accomplished via a transistor Q2, to cause a transistor Q3 to operate. On progression of charging of the capacitor C1, the bias light source lighting voltage returns to the voltage not controlled. When the drum stop signal enters the terminal T1, the TRs Q1, Q2 stop operating and the charging voltage of C1 starts discharging. When the drum rotation signal enters during discharging, C1 again starts charging. Thereupon if the time until the bias light source lighting voltage reaches saturation is set shorter than the time during copying suspension, the dark part latent image potential coverges nearly to a fixed value in continuous copying and the change in density does not occur. With such constitution, the change in the image density at the continuous copying may be prevented.
