Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the control device which accommodates a preferable quick speed response for the motor by detecting a motor current upon reception of an interrupt pulse by a computer for controlling the on or off of a chopper circuit immediately before the computer turns the chopper circuit off. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 1 receives the states of a motor current and an accelerator 8 and the like of an automobile from an input circuit 7, logically calculates the current value to be flowed to the motor in accordance with a control characteristics stored beforehand in a memory 4, and thus controls on or off a chopper circuit of a main circuit 10 on the basis of the calculated result. An interruption circuit 14 for generating an interrupt pulse is also provided, interrupts the microcomputer 1 before approximately prescribed time from the time of opening the chopper circuit, and detects the motor current. Accordingly, the motor current can be detected at the point in the vicinity of its peak value irrespective of the position of connecting the current detector in the circuit 10, and can consequently be controlled without commutation failure.
