Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend the transmission length of a pulse signal, by converting the electric signal to a photosignal and by transmitting the photosignal through an optical fiber cable and by converting the photosignal to an electric signal in the end part of the optical fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:In pulse generating element 10, a permanent magnet which has a magnetic field stronger than that of the sheath of magnetic wire 2 and opposite to the direction of the magnetic field of the sheath of magnetic wire 2 is used to invert the direction of the magnetic field of the core part of magnetic wire 2, thereby generating a pulse current in pickup coil 8. The pulse current is converted to light l by light emitting element 12 and is transmitted to photodetector 16 through the inside of optical fiber cable 14. The photosignal is converted to an electric signal by photodetector 16. By this constitution, attenuation of energy in transmission is reduced, and the unit is not affected by induced noise.
