Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically keep the top pressure of the blast furnace constant by a method in which blast furnace gas is passed through plurally parallelized dust collectors into a regulating valve provided in its discharge path to detect a deviation between the top pressure and a set pressure, and then the said regulating valve is controlled by the deviation signal. CONSTITUTION:In the control of the top pressure of the blast furnace 3, waste gas from the furnace top is passed through the plurally parallelized dust collectors 8A-8C through path 4, a dust remover 5, and branched pipes 6A-6C and then introduced through the regulating valves 20A-20C and main discharge pipe 10 into a gas holder 11. In this case, the top pressure detection signal 13 from a detector 12 is put in a pressure regulator 14 and the deviation signal 15 from a set pressure is sent to a preliminary pressure regulator 16, where a preliminary pressure signal 18 is compared with the deviation signal 15 and the deviation signals 19A- 19C control the regulating valves 20A-20C in an interlocking manner (by synchronous control) or a stepping manner (one-by-one control of the valve), whereby keeping the top pressure at a given pressure.
