Abstract

PURPOSE: To greatly reduce the consumption of power in a evaporation type humidifier by a system in which a liquid heating tank and a water supply tank are provided in a given relation through a water supply pipe and a ventilation pipe, and water in the water supply tank is sucked up and atomized by means of a vaporizing and atomizing nozzle from the heating tank.
CONSTITUTION: The heating tank 3 which heats a liquid by the heater 10 and spouts vapor from the nozzle 11 and the water supply tank 4 connected to the tank 3 through the water supply pipe 8 are provided, and they are also connected with each other through the ventilation pipe 9 whose one end is situated at a given water level of the heating tank 3 and also the other end is opened at the upper side of the inside wall of the water supply tank 4. The levels of the openings of the said water supply pipe 8 and the ventilation pipe 9 are set up so that approx. 40ml of water is always held in the heating tank 3, that is, the supply of water is stopped only when the pressure of the tank 4 is lowered by a difference of the heads than the pressure of the tank 3. The water of the tank 5 is sucked up and atomized by Venturi action by means of the atomizing nozzle 11 from the heatng tank 3. Thus, the time of starting atomization is fast because of the fineness of heated liquid droplets, and the consumption of heat is greatly saved because only a little water is heated after the supply of the water is stopped.
