Abstract

PURPOSE:To separate or synthesize simply two radio waves different in frequency band without loss and coupling, by providing an electromagnetic lens in front of the antenna aperture part. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnetic lens 21 with focus 3' in front of waveguide primary radiator 23 is provided in front of aperture part 1 of the antenna. Since electromagnetic lens 21 is so set that it may have a sufficient lens function for the high- band radio wave and have hardly the lens function for the low-band radio wave, only high-band radio wave 6 is transmitted to direction 25 through waveguide 23. On the other hand, low-band radio wave 5 is reflected by parabolic reflection mirror 2 and is condensed onto focus 3 and is transmitted to direction 24 through waveguide 22. Though most of high-band radio wave 6 is condensed to focus 3', high band-elimination filter 26 is provided in front of waveguide 22 for the purpose of eliminating high-band radio wave 6 completely.
