CONSTITUTION: Swollen portions are formed to an upper end of a shell plating of a small-sized ship in FRP by reasons on strength and the assembly of structure. Only an upper surface 8 of the swollen portion of the stern among the swollen portions is formed so as to become lower than the height of the upper surface 7 of the swollen portions at the other sides of the ship. Thus, the width of the swollen portion 3 can be narrowed, and a hatch of an engine room arranged at the stern side can be brought near the stern side only by the portion. That is, the hatch can be brought near the stern side only by l as compared to the case when the height of the swollen portion 3 is made the same as the height of other swollen portions.
