Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit a master cylinder reservoir using a grommet to be reliably attached by adding an annular springy member to the reservoir.
CONSTITUTION: Step portions 1a and 2a are provided on the inner walls of a body and a reservoir 2. An annular springy member 4 made of a spring material (a metal or a proper nonmetal) and having an almost U-shaped sectional geometry is prepared. The step portion 2a of the reservoir 2 is allowed to support an end 4a of the inner piece of the elastic member 4, and intermediate bent portions 4b of the outer piece are allowed to hold the end portion of the reservoir 2 between them. Then, the reservoir 2 and the springy member 4 are unitarily pushed into the body 1 fitted with a grommet 3, and an end portion 4c of the outer piece of the springy member 4 is springily fixed to the step portion 1a. Thus, if a lateral vibration or load is applied to the reservoir 2, it has no possibility of loosening or falling off from the body 1, or resonating.
