Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure that excess heat generated from various heat-generating apparatuses in a building can be accumulated in soil and the accumulated heat can be taken out as required, by a method wherein the huge outside wall surface of the underground structure of a building is used as a radiating surface.
CONSTITUTION: Walls 3 of heat insulating material are constructed at positions spaced by a predetermined distance from the outside wall 1 of an underground structure and the inside surface of the lowermost dirt floor 2, to form gas-passing spaces 4 between the walls 3 and the outside wall 1 and the dirt floor 2. the air heated by solar heat or by the excess heat generated from the equipments of the building is introduced into the gas-passing spaces 4 in such a manner that the introduced air flows in the direction from the lowest floor to the upper floors, the heat of the introduced air is radiated into the soil through the outside wall 1 as a radiating surface and accumulated in the soil. The heat accumulated in the soil is reabsorbed in air by introducing the outside air into the spaces 4 and utilizing the outside wall 1 as a heat-absorbing surface, and the thus heated air is discharged into rooms. Accordingly, unnecessary heat can be accumulated during summer and the accumulated heat can be taken out in winter.
