PURPOSE:To miniaturize a machine, by minimizing the position difference between edges for a tool spindle in parallel and right angle with respect to the center axial line of a work spindle and shortening the stroke of a slide table in its radial direction when the works of turning and rotary machining are performed with one set of machine. CONSTITUTION:To a frame 15 a housing 16 is supported by about an axial line as a center 45 deg. tilted with respect to the center axis line of a work spindle 3 to enable a rotary indexing. To said housing 16, a tool spindle 17 is supported bearings rotatably about an axial line tilted 45 deg. against its rotary center axis line further intersecting the rotary center axis line of the housing 16 in the side of machining region. While to selectively receive a rotary cutting tool or fixed cutting tool, a tool receiving opening port, that opens axially in the side of intersection between the axial lines of the housing 16 and the tool spindle 17, is provided in the tool spindle 17. In this way, the position difference of cutting tool edges for the spindle 17 in parallel and perpendicular can be minimized to shorten the stroke of a slide table.
