Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned cartridge by which a hand is saved from being stained by a ribbon when it is mounted on the carriage and the load is reduced on the occasion of a multistaged shift by providing an arm guiding the ribbon in a shakable state in relation to a frame body of a cassette. CONSTITUTION:An axis 7 is fixed in a place near a ribbon exit 4 and a ribbon entrance 5 of the frame body 1 of a cassette, while a U-shaped arm 8 made to be shakable upward and downward by the axis 7 is provided. On the arm 8 are formed ribbon guide grooves 9 and 10 guiding the ribbon 2, while in guide grooves 9 and 10 are formed L-shaped pieces 11 for preventing slip-out. At the part where the ribbon 2 is opposed to a printing part 3 an avoiding part 12 is provided so that the part does not hinder a printing action. On the frame body 1 of the cassette is provided, near to the axis 7, stopper pieces 13 to regulate the maximum of the range of rotation of the arm 8 in correspondence to the range of the multistaged shift.
