Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound of formula I (n is an integer 1-4; a and b are Hs or form a direct bond between a and b; R1 and R2 are Hs, lower alkyls, phenyls or aralkyls which may have a substituent or form a heterocyclic ring consisting of 5W6 members with the adjacent nitrogen atom; the heterocyclid ring may contain another heterocycle or a substituent).
EXAMPLE: 4-[(E,E)-3,7,11,15-Tetramethyl-6,10,14-hexadecatrienoyl]morpholine.
USE: A remedy for hepatopathy having ameliorant and preventive effects on disorders, e.g. inflammation, degeneration, necrosis, hypofunction of bile formation and secretion and saccharometabolic disorder of the liver.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II or a reactive derevative thereof is reacted with a compound of formula III to afford the compound of formula I.
