CONSTITUTION:The magnetic powder is suspended in at least one kind of solution of radiation polymerization compounds, and radiation is irradiated to said suspension liquid. Of the ion pairs and the radicals caused by electrolytic dissociation of radiation, the radicals are mainly combined with sensitive unsaturated bonds to cause so-called radical reaction, thereby the hydrophobic thin film is securely stuck to the surface of the magnetic powder. Thus, in the case the magnetic powder which is subjected to hydrophobic treatment is blended with the magnetic paint, affinity of binder is good, distribution in paint is excellent, and packing property is improved. Since the hydrophobic thin film is a material hardened by the radical reaction, it has excellent abrasion resisting property.
