Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure an accurate detection for the defect of the bearing, by detecting the defect based on the peak value deviation of the vibration detecting signal of the bearings at the both ends of the rotor.
CONSTITUTION: The vibrations of bearings 2 and 3 which bear the both ends of rotor 1 are detected individually by pickups 4 and 5 each. And the noise components caused by the external noise and others ar eliminated via BFPs10 and 11. The peak values of the vibration detecting signals are held by peak holding circuits 10 and 11 each, and differential amplifier 12 generates the signal corresponding to the deviation of the peak value. This signal is processed through smoothing integrator 13, and integrator 13 generates the defect detecting signal only when the peak value deviation of the vibration detecting signal is generated. Accordingly, the defect of the bearing is detected in distinction from the transmission of vibration from the substance to be conveyed even with a low-speed rotation. As a result, the defect of the bearing can be detected accurately.
