Abstract

PURPOSE: To heighten the measuring accuracy without increase in the number of electric wires by connecting a plurality of resistors connected to one end of respective electrodes arranged vertically at a fixed space to each input side of the water level measuring circuit.
CONSTITUTION: As the level of the underground water in the drilled hole 1 rises gradually to the ground surface H, the electrodes 4i,...,4n are dipped by the conductive underground water in order and each time such dipping of the electrode takes places, the resistors ri, ri+1,...,rn are short-circuited one by one, and thus, the voltage developing across a resister R rises by steps. As a result, pulses such as positive one are generated from a differentiation circuit 7 comprising a capacitor C and a resistance r. The number of the pulses is added by an addition circuit 8 and the output signal corresponding to the rise in the underground water is inputted into a recorder 9 and an indicator 10 which converts the signal inputted into the measured value corresponding to the level of the underground water. On the other hand, when the level of the underground water falls, negative pulses are generated from the circuit 7. This can heighten the measuring accuracy without increase in the number of electric wires for the measuring circuit.
