Abstract
PURPOSE: A non-pollution powder coating material, capable of being coated thickly and giving various patterns while retaining the high film performance, and prepared by dryblending thermosetting powder coating materials having different surface tensions.
CONSTITUTION: A composition prepared by dryblending two or more types of thermosetting powder coating materials, preferably selected from epoxy, polyester and acrylic powder coating materials, having different surface tensions. Preferably, two or more types of a powder coating material free from a flow adjustor, a powder coating material containing the flow adjustor, preferably an acrylic copolymer, and a powder coating material containing a surfactant, preferably a fluorine-or silicone- type, are blended to produce the difference in surface tension on melting. The difference in surface tension is preferably 1 dyne/cm or more, and the ratio between the powder coating material having a higher surface tension and the powder coating material having a lower surface tension is preferably 5:1W5,000:1.
