Abstract
PURPOSE:To control properly rotation of an auxiliary machinery driven at a low speed and at a high speed, by providing a centrifugally actuated valve mechanism which opens and closes the outlet port side of a fluid coupling according to the rotational speed of an engine. CONSTITUTION:In a fluid coupling 16, a ring shaped following gear 22 inscribes a gear 20 of the driving side with the center of the gear 22 positioned eccentrically relative to the drive shaft 12. On the side opposite to the inscribing side an arch shaped segment 32 is arranged to be inscribed by the gear 20 and also arranged to inscribe the gear 22. Further, the fluid coupling 16 is provided with a sleeve with an opening 46 made in radial direction, and a spool valve 52 which is biased radially by a spring 54 fits on the sleeve 48, and this spool valve 52 always separates a valve port 56 intercommunicating with an arch shaped space 40 from the side of a discharge opening 44.
