Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the bleeding of a plasticizer, and to improve the flexibility, smoothness, and appearance of a vinyl chloride resin molded article containing an antioxidant, by treating the article with low-temperature plasma.
CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) 100pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride resin and (B) 0.1W10pts.wt. of an antioxidant (pref. phenolic antioxidant) is molded to an article, and treated with a low-temperature plasma of a gas which is not polymerizable with plasma (e.g. He, Ar, etc.) under 0.001W10 Torr pressure.
EFFECT: The treated article has excellent heat-sealability, low-temperature mechanical properties such as tensile strength, scratch resistance, impact strength, etc., hydrophilic nature, stain resistance, oil resistance, chemical resistance, etc.
