Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce an electrode consumption ratio and permit precise, quick electrospark machining by expanding space between conductors in a semiconductor pulse generator constituted from a printed board and others to maintain total floating capacity of electrospark circuit at a specified value or less. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 1 is opposed to a workpiece 2 to provide a working space into which is put working liquid. Working pulses are applied through a cable 4 from a working pulse generator 3 to carry out electrospark machining. Thickness of a printed board of this generator 3, spaces between printed boards, other conductors or connecting cables are enlarged to maintain floating electrostatic capacity of electrospark circuit including mechanical parts for supporting and mounting the electrode 1 and workpiece 2 at 0.01muF or less. The less the floating capacity is made, the less ratio of electrode consumption becomes to improve working speed and permit high precision electrospark machining.
