Abstract

PURPOSE: To convert a filtering and sterilizing device into an small size easy to handle and enhance the filtering and sterilzing effect by arranging a filter material, an aluminum ion generating electrode and a silver ion generating electrode on the way of a flow passage connecting an inflow and an outflow ports provided on the body of the device.

CONSTITUTION: When warm water of a bath tub, for example, is flowed into a body of a filtering and sterilizing device from an inflow port 9 thereof, the warm water is entered into an inner cylinder 20 through a gap 22 between said body 1 and the inner cylinder 20, but, during passing the gap 22, minute floated substances are flocculated by the flocculating power of Al³⁺ generated from an aluminum ion generating electrode 31 and the warm is sterilized by silver ion generated from a silver ion generating electrode 32. Subsequently, the warm water is filtered by a filter material 28 such as sands packed between not members 26, 27 in the inner cylinder 20 and exhausted to an outflow port 10 of the body 1 from an outlet port 24 of the inner cylinder to be circulated to the bath tub. The electrode 32 is electrified for a definite length during bathing time or after bathing and the electrode 31 is electrified only for a some definite length during bathing.
