Abstract
PURPOSE: To apply a seasoning, e.g. granulated sugar, to a Japanese cracker efficiently, by feeding the seasoning to the Japanese cracker immersed in a seasoning solution in a net drum, and bringing the Japanese cracker into contact with the seasoning with scraping plates on the rotating net drum and a rotating drum outside thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A Japanese cracker a immersed in a seasoning solution is fed from a feed conveyor 10 and chute 9 into a net drum 3, and a seasoning b, e.g. granulated sugar, in a hopper 12 is fed from a feed chute 11 into the net drum 3. A rotating drum 1 is rotated by driving rollers 5 to apply the granulated sugar to the cracker while scraping or dropping the cracker with scraping plates 4 in the net drum 3. The granulated sugar dropped to the outside of the net drum 3 is scraped by slanted scraping plates 2 in the rotating drum 1, dropped to the net drum 3 and applied to the cracker. The operations are sepeated to apply the granulated sugar to the whole surface of the cracker efficiently. The rotating drum 1 is then slanted with a frame 17 to discharge the cracker from the end 21 of the net drum 3.
