Abstract

PURPOSE: To dehydrate and incinerate sewage sludge efficiently and economically, by admixing a waste having both of inflammability and function as filter aid to the sewage sludge.
CONSTITUTION: When dehydrated urinary sludge is filtered under pressure after mixing of a waste having both of inflammability and function as filter aid, filtered- residue containing rate is lowered by the principle of filtering while solidly feeding the filter aid, and it results that combustible substances are left in the filtered residue. Therefore, by reason that the filtered-residue containing rate is lowered due to improvement in filtering function during filtering process and that combustible substances contained in the filtered residue are burnt during incinerating process, it is enabled to lower fuel consumption in the incinerating process.
