Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the diversity of and reliability on control by providing a regulator with a blind sector setter, having a blind zone, for the regulation of the controlled variable of a process.
CONSTITUTION: Once receiving operation feedback signal PV out of the blind zone, comparator 1 compares signal PV to set signal SV and outputs deviation signal Δe. With this signal Δe, arithmetic circuit 2 performs proportional plus integral arithmetic operation to obtain control operation signal MV, which is sent to a control operation terminal by way of automatic-side contact Rb. Next, when signal PV enters the blind zone, blind sector setter 4 operates to close contact R1a, and consequently relay R is excited to close its operation command contact Ra and manual- side line contact R'a, opening contact Rb. As a result, signal PV of the blind zone is held as final signal MV in automatic operation by signal increasing-decreasing circuit 3 by way of comparator 1 and circuit 2 and its value is output to the control operation terminal via contact R'a. Consequently, the diversity of and reliability on the control is improved.
