Abstract

PURPOSE: To make assembling of a difficult to assemble pipe and a plate material easy by inserting the pipe into the plate material while applying ultrasonic vibrations thereto to the pipe at the time of inserting the pipe inot the pipe insertion hole of the plate material.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of inserting and assembling pipes 1 of, for example, a heat exchanger, into multiple fins 2, the step portion at the leading end of a stepped guide rod 3 is inserted into the pipe 1. Ultrasonic vibrations are generated by the vibrator 4 connected to the other end of the rod 3 and said vibrations are applied to the pipe 1 by way of the rod 3. Then, the friction resistance of the fins 2 with the pipe surface decreases owing to said vibrations and the insertion of the pipe becomes extremely easy.
