Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption without lowering the layout efficiency of memory unit, by connecting the specified circuit to the both ends of the decoder circuit of word side decoder. CONSTITUTION:The decoder circuit 6 at word side decoder is formed with MOSFETQ11-. At the both ends of the decoder circuit 6, FETQ23, Q24 the gate of which receives complementary clock signal are respectively connected and further, via the buffers 7, 8 they are connected to the cell array. FETQ25, Q26 are respectively connected between the output terminal of FETQ23, Q24 and ground potential, and to the respective gate, the clock signal of opposite polarity as the said complementary clock is fed. With this constitution, without much lowering the layout efficiency, the memory with high speed and low power consumption even with increased words and bits can be obtained.
