Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the overall transfer velocity by providing a simple receiving buffer register plus a receiving data strobe line. CONSTITUTION:Simple receiving buffer register 21 is provided for the input/output unit which holds temporarily the received data, along with receiving data strobe line 22 for setting of the received data. Thus the access time of the received data strobe becomes equal to the access time of the received data within the input/output unit. And accordingly, the delay time (including driver DR and receiver RV) between the input/output unit and the transmission/reception control unit can be extended until the next transmitting action. In this respect, the access time of the transmitting/receiving action is not different as conventional to one request, and then a quick reception is possible to the next request. As a result, the overall transfer velocity can be increased more than the conventional velocity.
