Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform repair of defected parts by manufacturing split teeth for sprocket from a rolling material to unnecessitate a casting mold or a forging mold, and fixing split teeth to the peripheral edge of a rib plate by means of a clamping tool.
CONSTITUTION: A rolling material A is constituted by a striplike plate member 1 and ridges 2 provided on a line along the longitudinal direction on the back surface of the plate member 1 to manufacture split teeth for sprocket by use of the rolling material A. That is, firstly, the rolling material A is subjected to bender or roll processing so that both ends of the rolling material A are in abutment with each other to form a circle. Thereafter, both ends of the rolling material A are bonded together by flash butt welding to obtain an annular body B. Then, the annular body B is split B' into a required number of parts at the trough of the teeth 3 to obtain split teeth. The split teeth C are clamped to the flange 6 having a cylinder 5 for bearing by means of a bolt 8 thereby to complete the sprocket.
