Abstract

PURPOSE:To give a sufficient intensity to a printing hammer and to obtain a minute dot by bending a part of the hammer and by attaching a metal bar, the point of which is provided with a tip, to the hammer in a high speed printer that prints a dot pattern. CONSTITUTION:The end part of the printing hammer 2 is rectangularly bent, the metal bar 7 to which the tip 8 of a platinum group alloy is welded is joined to the bend by brazing or welding. By this, the stress concentration by a bending moment that acts in a printing can be reduced. Moreover the hammer life can be extended due to the wear-resistance of the platinum group alloy. Accordingly since a minute- dot pattern can be formed, a printing of high resolution will be possible.
