Abstract

PURPOSE: To supply molding sand of always constant moisture content and temp. within a molding flask by blowing the molding sand contg. a water soluble binder in the molding flask then discharging the molding sand remaining in a box for blowing of molding sand into a recovery hopper every time.
CONSTITUTION: A molding flask 7 which is moved upward together with a table 6 is brought into press-contact with the bottom surface of a box 13 for blowing molding sand. The opening part 15 of the top surface is then released, and the molding sand 27 contg. a water soluble binder such as dextrin supplied at a constant rate into a hopper 16 is supplied into the box 13; at the same time, compressed air is supplied 22 into the box 13. The inside of a mold cavity 7a is filled with the molding sand 27 by this compressed air, and the compressed air is exhausted through a vent hole 10 and a channel 11. Upon completion of this blowing, the residual air in the box 13 is exahusted 21 to the outside, and the flask 7 is lowered down to the home position, thence the box 13 is moved up to the position above a recovery hopper 19. The compressed air is then supplied 22 into the box 13 to discharge the residual molding sand in the box 13 into the hopper 19, thereafter, the moisture content and temp. thereof are controlled and this sand is reused.
