Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure installation of a direction display part in optional posture, by extracting the electric signal indicating a direction with a rotary plate interlocking a pole indicating magnet plus plural sheets of electrodes and thus driving a display device such as a meter or the like. CONSTITUTION:The 4-divided and fan-shaped electrode plates 2a-2d are provided around a shaft 8 by leaving with a certain distance and within a container 1, and a rotary plate 5 and a pole indicating magnet 7 are provided to the shaft 8 so that they can turn in opposition to the electrode plate 2 in the electrically conductive solution 10. Thus a direction detector K is formed. At the same time, a pulse signal having a fixed level of phase difference is applied from a signal generating circuit 12 to each of the plates 2a-2d. This pulse signal is converted into a signal according to the opposite area between the plate 5 and each of 2a-2d to be applied to an impedance converting circuit 14. In such way, a direction is obtained in the form of an electric signal. Thus a meter or the like can be driven by this electric signal, and accordingly a direction can be indicated by a meter with its indicating face erected in a vertical direction.
