Abstract
PURPOSE:To stably manufacture an electrically conductive support with even electric resistance by applying a coating prepared by dispersing an electronic conductive material in a binder resin to paper having specified gas permeability to form a film. CONSTITUTION:To 1pt.wt. as solid of an aqueous soln. or an O/W type emulsion of a binder resin such as polyvinyl alcohol are added 1-9pts.wt. of an electronic conductive material such as carbon black or the reductant of TiO2, and they are dispersed and kneaded with a ball mill, etc. to prepare a coating. This coating is applied to at least one side of paper having >=500 gas permeability by 2-15g/m<2> and dried to form a film. Thus, an electrically conductive support is obtd. having stabilized electrophotographic and electrostatic recording characteristics as well as stabilized electric characteristics in environment at low to high humidity.
