PURPOSE:To perform switching while giving hysteresis to input and output characteristics by designing a circuit so that the ratio of values of two resistances interposed in series between an input terminal and one transistor (TR) and the base- emitter voltage of the TR have desired values. CONSTITUTION:The emitter terminal of an npn TRQ1 is connected to the cathode of a DC power source 4, and its collector terminal is connected to a resistance R2 and led out as a noninverted output terminal 2. The base terminal of the TRQ1 is led out to the collector terminal of a TRQ2 and a resistance R3. The emitter terminal of a TRQ2 is connected to the cathode of the power sournce 4, and the base terminal to the other terminal of the resistance R2 and a resistance R1. So that the ratio R1/R2 of the resistances R1 and R2 connected between an input terminal 1 and the TRQ1 and a base-emitter voltage VBE2 required for the transition of the TRQ2 to an on-state have desired values, the circuit is designed, thus obtaining the switching circuit of simple constitution having hysteresis as input and output characteristics.
