Abstract

PURPOSE: Titled composition that is produced by mixing a molten rubber obtained by pyrolysis of waste rubber, a vulcanized rubber powder and a thermoplastic resin in a specific proportion, thus permitting extremely simple forming operations and wide ranges of application.
CONSTITUTION: For example, to 100pts.wt. of mixture consisting of 20W70pts. of thermoplastic resin such as crystalline 1,2-polybutadiene, ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer, styrene-butadiene block copolymer or high styrene resin and 80W30pts. of powdery vulcanized rubber, are added 20W100pts. of molten rubber.
USE: Material for house floor, wall and ceiling which are required to have vibration- damping property. Functional parts for damping, sound insulation and cushioning.
