Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve beauty as a uniform painted surface by masking nonsputtering-treated parts to form a substrate paint film and applying sputtering treatment thereto then forming a topcoating paint film on the treated surface.
CONSTITUTION: An exclusive mask 2 is put on the parts which do not require bright sputtering of an object 1 to be treated having been cleaned with an alcohol or the like, and a substrate paint film 3 is formed thereon, after which the mask 2 is removed and the film is allowed to dry. Thence, the entire part is subjected to sputtering with a low-temp. sputtering device to form a bright metallic film 4, after which the parts which do not require gright treatment are masked, and the top surface of the film 4 is applied with topcoating paint. Thence, the parts requiring bright treatment are covered with a mask 6, and colored finish paint is sprayed onto the parts which do not require bright treatment, after which the exclusive mask is removed and the paint is allowed to dry, whereby the product is obtained.
