Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate an effect due to the starting timing of a stop mode and always obtain a stable reproduced picture, by holding a position control error signal of a servo circuit at a constant DC potential simultaneously with a start of the stop mode. CONSTITUTION:A servo circuit of a motor 6 compares the reference signal given from a reference signal generator 1 with the rotary phase signal obtained from a phase detector 8 through a phase comparator 2. The phase difference signal is held at a holding circuit 3 for a sampling period and added with a speed error signal obtained from a speed wave detector 7 through an adder 4. Thus the motor 6 is driven via a driving circuit 5. In such constitution, the rotation of the motor 6 is stopped with a stop key 10, and at the same time the stop signal is sent to a video signal system 12 via a delaying circuit 11. In a stop mode, a clamping circuit 9 is provided to always ensure a high potential for the output voltage of the circuit 3. As a result, the motor rises sharply when the stop mode is released.
