Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect gaseous components of oil easily with high reliability by providing a high polymer film in contact with insulating oil, separating the gases permeated through the film and detecting the same with a detector. CONSTITUTION:In detecting the gaseous components formed with time in the insulating oil of an oil-filled apparatus such as transformer or capacitor and discovering abnormal phenomena, etc. in an early time, part of the wall of a casing 1 containing insulating oil 2 is constituted of a high poluymer film 3 having properties of allowing the permeation of the gaseous components dissolved in the oil, for example, H2, CO and C2H4. The gases permeated through this film 3 are accumulated in a gas accumulating chamber 4 and the accumulated gases are introduced by the air fed from an air feeder 9 into a separating column 10 in which packings 13 for gas separation are packed, whereby they are separated to respective components. The separated respective components are detected with a gas detector 14 provided with a gas detecting element 16.
