Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain molded goods having an orientation property by a method wherein synthetic resin, foaming agent and reinforcing material are kneaded at the softening temperature of the synthetic resin or higher and after they are let to pass through a wide clearance once and to foam, they are let to pass through a clearance having gradually-decreasing sectional areas in the extruding direction. CONSTITUTION:During the rotation of the screw 5 of an extruder body 2, foaming agent, synthetic resin and short fibers like glass fibers etc. are kneaded. The resin which can expand by the operation of the foaming agent and exceeds the softening temperature is sent to a die 3 through a braker plate 7 to form foams in the fluid 8. The foamed synthetic resin fluid reaches the channel part 9 of a modifier 1 under extruding pressure and the clearance of the channel part 9 is decreased gradually in the vertical direction. Accordingly, the foams are defoamed into flat shapes along the extruding direction and the reinforced material is oriented in the parallel direction.
