Abstract

PURPOSE: To offer a lightweight antiskid braking device which can assure the braking action even at the time of breakdown of the apparatus, by providing a shutoff valve and a piston, which shall connect the front and rear oil chambers to the master and wheel cylinders, at the actuator.
CONSTITUTION: The oil pressure produced by a master cylinder 2 is led into the oil chamber A of the actuator 4 and further to the oil chamber B through a valve 32 and a through hole 28. This oil chamber, B, is connected with the wheel cylinder 6. The valve 32 and through hole 28 are equipped at the piston 20, whose major diameter part 22 is pushed by a spring 24 and has another oil chamber C at the opposite side. In this oil chamber C, oil pressure is led from the oil pressure control circuit 33 in accordance with skid of the wheels in order to shift the piston 20 to the left. As a supporting rod 29 provided on the casing opens the valve 32 and the piston 20 is normally pressed by the spring 24, the device can be made in small size and lightweight and assures the braking action even under breakdown.
