Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation for fitting and removing a machined article by fitting and holding the machined article by magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:In order to fit the article to be machined 7 on to the upper surface of a plate 26, first the article 7 is positioned in such a manner that the lateral end surface of the article 7 is made to touch a stopper 28, while the lower orifice 7a of the artile being made to correspond to the by-pass port 26a1 of the plate 26, under the condition that a magnet operating lever is in OFF state, i.e. a magnetic circuit is not formed on the upper surface of the plate 26. After that, the magnetic circuit is formed on the upper surface of the plate 26 by turning a magnet 21 to be in ON state through the operation of the lever and thus the article to be machined 7 is attracted strongly and held closely on the upper surface of the plate 26 by the magnetic force.
