Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive and energy-saving type air conditioner by a method in which spiral pipes are buried underground, and sir suction and exhaust ports leading to the spiral pipes are provided on the ground's surface in order to utilize air heated or cooled geothermally.
CONSTITUTION: Spiral pipes 1 and 1' are buried to an appropriate depth under the ground, and a small-diameter pipe leading to the upper part of the spiral pipe 1 is projected from the ground's surface and connected to a dust-proof type air suction 5 and also the upper end of a small-diameter pipe 4' leading to the upper end of the pipe 1' is projected from the ground's surface and then connected to an air blower provided in a room. The open air sucked into the air suction port 5 becomes of the same temperature as the underground temperature while passing through the pipes 1 and 1'; that is, it is cooled in the summer season but heated in the winter season, and then discharged into the room.
