Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high frequency and high voltage having a high peak value with a small amount of electric power, by constituting an intermittent boosting oscillator by connecting an intermittent oscillating capacitor in series to a thyristor. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating capacitor 3 is charged by an AC power source 1, and the terminal voltage reaches the breakover voltage of a thyristor 6. Thus the thyristor 6 conducts, and then a boosting oscillation starts by a coaction of a nonlinear inductor 5 and the thyristor 6. Thus an intermittent oscillating capacitor 8 drives the thyristor 6 just for a prescribed time of half cycle and with an early phase.
