PURPOSE:To accurately cut lead wires without bending them by an apparatus for aligning and cutting lead wires by accurately positioning the free ends of the lead wires of parts aligned fixedly on a pallet and interposing them fixedly with a spring and stationary unit. CONSTITUTION:When plugs W are aligned on a pallet P and the pallet P is sequentially conveyed to a stage 26 to be pushed up, it is positioned with a hole 4 and a pin 27 and the lead wires 1 of the plug W are simultaneously accurately positioned between the recess 34 and the groove 35 of a plate 33, and the end of the internal lead wire 1a is interposed between the lead spring 29 and the stationary unit 32. The end of the external lead wire 1b is urged on the leaf spring 28 and the pallet. The entire block is conveyed in this state to a rotary cutter 13 and both ends of the lead wire are cut in stationary state.
