Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit a steel plate cell to be transported effectively to a prescribed position, by installing elevator devices provided with inner ballast chambers on the periphery of a cylindrical steel plate cell and pouring air into the inner ballast chambers, and permiting the steel plate cell to be floated up.
CONSTITUTION: When a cylindrical steel plate cell 1 constructed in a dock 20 is transported to a prescribed position, elevator devices 3 are installed on the periphery of the cell 1. In the elevator device 3, an inner ballast chamer is formed, and the steel plate cell 1 is floated up by pouring air into the ballast chamber, and conveyed by tugboats.
